A proud alumnus of Arroyo Elementary School and Imperial Jr. High in the Ontario-Montclair School District. It can be said that Richard literally grew up in OMSD. His dad recently retired after 15 years of service and his mom has over 30 years of service. Richard began his career with OMSD as a custodian and attributes his success to the District’s support of his dreams and his father’s encouragement to continue his education, which led to his current position as a Systems Support Technician. Mr. Hurtado “pays it forward” by providing excellence in customer service throughout the District in a professional manner and by promoting an enjoyable working environment. For Mr. Hurtado, excellence is about integrity, being the best, learning from one’s mistakes, and being a lifelong learner. For these reasons, the Ontario-Montclair School District recognizes and celebrates Mr. Richard Hurtado as a 2014-2015 Model of Excellence. His commitment to service and excellence is certain to motivate and inspire current and future generations of OMSD students, educators, parents, and community members.
